Xiaomi is on a roll and we know that this line has now become common. But, Xiaomi keeps on surprising everybody with the success of theirs. Last year, Xiaomi set a new sales record in terms of the most number of phones shipped. This record was 90 million phones shipped in 2017. Now, this is such a huge figure that no one can even remotely match this. However, Xiaomi did one better of themselves this year. And, the year has not even ended yet as well. This year, Xiaomi has already achieved their sales figure which they had set at the beginning of this year.
Earlier today, Xiaomi announced that they have already shipped 100 million phones in 2018. Now, this is another sales record for the company and also a milestone as they have completed their target. Talking more about this, Xiaomi also outed that this figure was achieved thanks to the popularity of two major smartphones. One is the Redmi Note 5 Pro released earlier this year. And the other one is Redmi 5A which was released last year. Also, Redmi Note 5 Pro was launched at a higher price than the Redmi Note 4, its successor. Even then, the smartphone managed to become very popular in the market.

On the other hand, Redmi 5A was launched as the entry-level smartphone from Xiaomi. The smartphone was launched with a tagline “Desh ka smartphone” in India which means Smartphone of the country. This was a tagline which was also very popular among the public. Also, it is expected that the sales figure can be even higher and can reach 120 million shipments. This is because there are still two months left for Xiaomi. Also, the company is expected a few more smartphones this year. In addition, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 and Redmi Note 6 Pro are expected to launch in India next month too.
