Xiaomi launches AirDots Pro to compete with the Apple AirPods

Xiaomi AirDots Pro

Xiaomi has just made an announcement regarding earbuds in China. This announcement is a product launch from Xiaomi of its newest truly wireless earbuds. These earbuds are named as Xiaomi AirDots Pro and they look very similar to the Apple AirPods. In fact, Xiaomi has also pitched them as the true Apple AirPods competitors that you need. However, we all know that Xiaomi is known for their aggressive pricing which has been repeated yet again. The Xiaomi AirDots Pro are less than 1/3rd of what the Apple AirPods cost and they both have similar features.

Talking about features of the AirDots Pro, both the earbuds have a combined weight of fewer than 13 grams. Individually, each of the earbuds weighs less than 6 grams. This is extremely good for the ears as they can sit in our ears the whole day without causing pain. Similar to the Apple AirPods, Xiaomi AirDots Pro also come with a case. This case is used to place the AirDots Pro inside them and also charge the earbuds. Apart from that, Xiaomi AirDots Pro have 7mm neodymium iron boron drivers in addition to the titanium-plated diaphragm which improves frequency response.

On the other hand, Xiaomi AirDots Pro can also work individually as well. This means you do not need to place both the earbuds at the same time for them to work. Also, there is no loss in sound quality by doing so too which is a great thing. One important aspect about the Apple AirPods is that they block the exterior noise for better sound inside the earbuds. For this, Xiaomi has active noise cancellation in their AirDots Pro which blocks the outer noise during calls. The Xiaomi AirDots Pro are priced at CNY 3999 in China which is equivalent to US $60 and will be available from 11th of January.
