Xiaomi launches Redmi K20 & K20 Pro in China starting at just 1999 Yuan

Redmi K20 series

Xiaomi has finally announced its Redmi K series in China. In the Redmi K series, the company has launched Redmi K20 and K20 Pro which were much talked about recently. As we expected, both the smartphones come with flagship specifications at budget pricing. If we look at it in terms of the Indian market, it might be the Poco F2 as well. Last year, Xiaomi released the Poco F1 in India with flagship specifications at half the price.

Now, we could see the Redmi K20 series being launched in India as the Poco F2 and F2 Lite. Talking about the Redmi K20 series, it will compete with the Oppo Reno series launched in India earlier today. However, the difference between Oppo Reno series and Redmi K20 series is pricing as well as specifications.

We have seen that the Oppo Reno comes with slightly inferior specifications than the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom. On the other hand, Redmi K20 and K20 Pro have almost the same specifications apart from its processor. Redmi K20 comes with a 6.4-inch display same as the K20 Pro. Redmi K20 Pro is powered by the flagship Snapdragon 855 processor whereas the Redmi K20 has a Snapdragon 730 processor.

As for the internals, Redmi K20 and K20 Pro have 6/8GB RAM and 64/128/256GB internal storage. Talking about the camera, Redmi K20 and K20 both have a triple rear camera setup. The primary camera is a 48MP sensor, the secondary camera is an 8MP telephoto sensor and a 13MP ultra-wide sensor completes the setup.

On the front, you get a 20MP camera on both the devices inside a pop-up mechanism. You also get 4000 mAh non-removable battery on both these devices. However, Redmi K20 supports 18W fast charging whereas Redmi K20 Pro supports 27W fast charging. Talking about price, Redmi K20 starts at 1999 Yuan in China for the base variant whereas Redmi K20 Pro starts at 2499 Yuan.
