The feature is rolled out to the limited number of users in India. This new feature is launched quickly a few weeks after the announcement made by YouTube. In the announcement, they stated that YouTube is tweaking recommendation algorithm to prevent promoting misleading or false information. YouTube is planning to spread the facts check across the World but the exact date is yet to be revealed.
The new fact checks update will check the appropriate facts for the videos that lead to the circulation of fake news. At present we are seeing all types uploads in a YouTube and there is no censorship is properly working.
As per CBS news, the fact-checking partners need to follow the schema.org ClaimReview markup process to enable their content for the information panels.
The false information spreading is not a new thing to social platforms. Recently Facebook has responded to the appeal raised by representative Adam Schiff to stop information shared against the vaccinations from discouraging people to avoid.
Schiff also said. The three major social platforms powered by the powerful algorithms which can detect, distinguish the quality information from misleading information. The false news propaganda is troubling the public health issues severely. The three social platforms are Facebook, Google, and YouTube.
