Display
Cool 1 has a 5.5 inches screen and full HD resolution. The pixel density is 401ppi for 1080p screen resolution. The display is made of IPS LCD technology.
CPU and GPU
The CPU and GPU of Cool 1 are Snapdragon 652 Octa-core processor chipset and Adreno 510 graphical processor. The CPU’s two quad-core processors are made of Cortex A53 and Cortex A72 type with clock speeds of 1.2GHZ and 1.8GHz.
RAM and Storage
There are two different choices for RAM and storages given. They are 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of internal storage. There is no card slot available.
Software
Cool 1 runs the EUI 5.6 skin over the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The EUI is the user interface developed by LeEco, which is used in this smartphone.
Camera
The cameras of Cool 1 are really cool in the specs sheet. The rear side has dual cameras with 13MP sensors, phase detection autofocus and dual tone (dual LED) flash. The front side has an 8MP camera with 1080p resolution. The video resolutions are 2160p, 1080p and 720p.
Battery
Cool 1 has massive capacity battery. It has 4060mAh capacity, non-removable Li-Ion battery. Quick Charge 2.0 feature is available which fill 50% of battery in 30 minutes.
Other Features and Connectivity
The connectivity features are GPRS, Edge, 3G, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM Radio and USB type C. Fingerprint scanner is available in the rear side.
Quick Review of LeEco Coolpad Cool 1
Cool 1 has fantastic specs and most needed basic features. The display is perfect with full HD resolution. But, it also misses the protective cover from Gorilla glass. Snapdragon 652 CPU is a decent mid-level processor coupled with Adreno 510 GPU. Both are reliable for good performance.
The 3GB or 4GB RAM is a great choice. For most of the users, 3GB RAM is enough. For the game maniacs and video maniacs, 4GB RAM would be good. The expandable storage option is not available. So, the buyers are pushed to buy the 64GB version which only comes with 4GB RAM.
Cameras are the serious deal in this low priced smartphone. A dual 13MP camera is a serious deal for anyone. Finally, they finished the specs sheet with the massive 4060mAh battery. Fingerprint scanner is also finds its place in this device at the perfect location.
