Adblock Plus is an extension for blocking the annoying ads on your Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Opera and Internet Explorer browsers. Adblock Plus is one of the most important extensions for your web browsers, as it will make your web-browsing much easier and satisfying, by eliminating the unnecessary ads covering your content. All this sounds great, but are there any cons? Well, if you want to find out more about Adblock Plus, then continue reading my review of the Adblock Plus extension, as I will go through each and every feature of this great extension. So, let’s start with the interface.
Adblock Plus Interface
When you install Adblock Plus, you’ll see the icon on the upper right side of your browser, and if you click on it, you’ll see whether your Adblock Plus is turned on or off for a particular webpage, as well as a number of ads blocked. However, this is not the whole point here, and it surely is an entire interface of the extension. Do you see the ’Options’ button at the bottom of the menu? Well, you should click on that. Here, Adblock Plus shows simplicity, offering you tons of options, but doing it simply.
You have four tabs, such as Filter Lists, Add your own Filters, Whitelisted Domains, and General. They are easy to access and tweak if you need it, and more about their function in the next section, which I’ll get to in no time, but first Easy of Use.
Ease of Use
So, how complicated or how simple can Adblock Plus extension be? Very simple, and not that complicated. To elaborate, Adblock Plus is simple to use in any mentioned browser above. I’m using it in Chrome, but you can use it for Internet Explorer or Mozilla browsers, and the workflow is the same. Go into the settings and tweak stuff. See how many ads are blocked by clicking on the icon in the top right corner and that’s it. It’s really simple to use, and that’s why it’s the number one Ad block extension on the market. Now, let’s move to the features.

Adblock Plus Features
Being such a simple extension, Adblock Plus really packs lots of great features. For example, this extension will block all of the annoying content from the web, and you can even add a blacklist or whitelist to ensure that you permit or allow certain websites and content. Also, Adblock Plus is a very simple, and very lightweight app, working in the background in a way that you won’t even notice is there, as it doesn’t slow down your computer or web browsers. More about its features are listed below.
Block almost all of the annoying ads
What is bothering you on the internet? Are those flashing banners, pop-unders or pop-ups? Or everything of those? Well, Adblock Plus is a great solution for this kind annoying content, which will easily be blocked and you won’t even notice it. The great thing here is that banners can be blocked, so you can filter what you want, and what you don’t want to see on the website you are visiting, making your websites more children-friendly, and more secure places to be. This is especially useful on websites such as Youtube and Facebook, which are the most popular websites.
No tracking allowed
When you are on the internet, multiple companies and websites are tracking your searching habits and your search history, thus displaying you the ads that are somehow tailored to your needs. But let me guess- they always miss, right?. Well, no more tracking with Adblock Plus. You can now enjoy the privacy of web browsing, ensuring that you are safe and secure while online, which is a great thing to know. Sure, you can enable tracking, but I don’t see a reason why you should do that. Simply let the Adblock Plus do the job for you, and enjoy.
No browser slowdown
This is a great Adblock Plus feature that is one of the most important. Thankfully, this extension doesn’t slow your PC or your browsing, providing you with a smooth and enjoyable browsing experience. I will always go with much smoother browsing with ads, than sluggish browsing with no ads. In Adblock Plus, you can have a full-fledged browsing experience; well done! It’s just a bonus reason to install it.
Adblock Plus is a very customizable extension, allowing you to control every single factor there. You can create your own whitelists, where you can put domains that will be allowed to display full content or simply delete the entry in the list if you’ve made up your mind. On top of that, you can add your own filters, to manually block the content on the website, and with Filter Lists option, you can filter subscriptions. And if you are not satisfied with the language your Adblock Plus offers, you can request from the developers to translate Adblock Plus into your language, which is great.
If you leave your Adblock Plus with the default settings, which I recommend, it will be a partial protection from malware. Malware-infected PCs are very slow, and malware can be really dangerous especially BitCoin miners which tend to use your GPU resources to dig for crypto values online, or password stealers. Trojans and worms are also things you don’t want to mess with. You can now prevent your PC from getting infected by blocking the Malware Domains with Adblock Plus, which is a default option.

Adblock Plus is an awesome ad blocker extension for your browser, and if you don’t have it, then why not install it? You can now have an enjoyable, smooth and solid browsing experience, with all of the annoying content being blocked.
