If you are connected your smartphone with an unsecured network, then you have higher chances of getting hacked. We recently have seen many hack attacks all over the world, because getting into your device and breaking its security is very easy if you are using a Public Wifi.

Smartphones are replacing computers, besides phone calls, smartphones can do a lot more things like emails, social life updates and web surfing. Privacy and security are the main important factors to check before surfing the web on mobile devices.

If you are connecting to a Public Wifi to save your mobile data bill, then you are doing it wrong. You are allowing a hacker to do his job easily. A VPN always come in handy when you browse the internet using an unsecured network. I always advise my friends to use a VPN. So what are you waiting for? Buy a good VPN and install on your Android.

A VPN hides your true identity online by masking the location and IP address.

Once you picked the preferred VPN network, it is the time to install it. Many VPN companies are providing a dedicated app to start and stop VPN service on the smartphone. But in this article, I will show the traditional method or manual VPN installation on Android.

How to Connect to a VPN on Android?

  1. Open your Android device and go to Settings.

  3. Now, tap on VPN option.
  4. Here, tap on “+” icon at the top right corner of the screen.
  5. Enter the VPN’s server address.

Many VPN service companies are providing detailed guides on server address and configuration steps. If you have any error or issue raised during the setup, you can ask your VPN customer care for further assistance.
