How to Activate Siri on iPhone X

How to Activate Siri on iPhone X

Siri is a virtual assistant that Apple Inc. set up for their devices. They make use of it on their watches, mobile devices, televisions, and computers. Siri makes use of voice queries to communicate with users. The natural-language user interface (on-screen messaging) is also a way of communicating with the assistant.

The functions of your assistant include making settings for your everyday tasks on your device, getting information from your device, making recommendations based on your preferences, send texts and make your calls if you’re busy and even performing several actions on the internet.

Setting up the assistant on your iPhone can be done in just a few steps. This application once installed will make using your Apple device easier and more exciting. Below are steps to be followed to get Siri working on your iPhone.

Since 2007, the home button on the Apple devices has been very useful in using some of the device features. In the new iPhone X, the iconic iPhone home button has been removed. Activating your assistant can be done using the following methods:

1. Using Your Voice

To activate your Siri using your voice, set up the “Hey Siri” feature on your device. To enable the feature

  1. Open Settings
  2. Go to Siri & Search
  3. Listen for Siri and have your voice settings enabled.

Whenever you call to her, she replies to you even when your device is asleep.

2. Using the Button

Holding down the side button for a few seconds will trigger Siri and you can start interacting with her instantly. This is the alternative if you do not want to use your voice to call Siri.

To exit Siri, swipe up from the bottom of your screen or hold down the side button again. You will be redirected to your device home page.

That’s all for now. Please leave your feedback in the comment section below.
