The Honor which is a sister company to Huawei is launching a new smartphone in India next week. As reported earlier, this smartphone will be named as the Honor Play. Also, it is known that the smartphone will be available on Amazon India. It has been revealed just now that the smartphone will be coming to Indian shores on August 6.

Now that the launch date of Honor Play is ever-so-close, we have known one more important detail regarding the smartphone. The latest reports indicate that the Honor Play will launch in India with GPU Turbo.

If you are unaware of GPU Turbo, it is the latest advancement in technology developed by Huawei. With the help of GPU Turbo, you can get the maximum performance out of your smartphone. GPU Turbo will help you while playing games or doing stuff where performance is of utmost importance.

Interestingly, GPU Turbo is said to be power efficient as well which means you are not at a risk of draining out your battery in this process. Now that the Honor Play will release with GPU Turbo, it becomes the most-suitable smartphone to launch in India for gaming.

Honor says that “The GPU Turbo is an integrated hardware-software graphics processing acceleration technology that reconstructs the traditional graphics processing framework at the lower layer system, greatly improving the efficiency of GPU graphics processing and user gaming experience”. As it is a hardware-software solution, it is necessary to have GPU Turbo supported hardware on a smartphone as well.

Also, Honor Play will have GPU Turbo that not only improves graphics processing efficiency by 60% but also reduces SoC energy consumption by 30%. On top of the addition of higher frame rate and performance, Honor Play’s GPU Turbo will also enable HDR which stands for High Dynamic Range which helps to increase contrast and color saturation for the better viewing experience.
