Motorola has finally unveiled its Moto Z4 smartphone in the US and Canadian markets. Now, it has to be said that what we knew about the Moto Z4 from rumours has turned out to be true. First of all, we know that the Moto Z4 has been launched for a price tag of $500. Also, it will start to be available in the US from June 13.
Now, we know that the Motorola Moto Z4 is a 4G smartphone. But Motorola also says that the smartphone will be able to support 5G. However, the 5G support on Motorola will be via the Moto Mods which have to be bought separately and they add bulk to the phone as well.
Moto Z4 also has some other interesting Moto Mods as well and also supports previous Moto Mods. This includes the 360-degree camera as well as battery pack and gamepad projector.
Now, coming to the specifications of Moto Z4 we get an idea of how the smartphone actually is. Talking about the display, Moto Z4 has a 6.4-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. Also, you get an in-display fingerprint sensor same as the other smartphones in this price range. There is a waterdrop notch on the display rather a pop-up camera or in-display camera.
On the inside, Moto Z4 is powered by the Snapdragon 675 processor which is a mid-range processor from Qualcomm at best. However, the disappointment here is that the Moto Z4 only has 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. In this day and age, we expect a smartphone to come with 6GB RAM at least.
At the back, there is a 48MP primary camera which has now become the norm in most of the smartphones. Another disappointment is that there is just a single camera on the rear. For selfies, you do have a powerful 25MP camera inside the waterdrop notch.
There is a 3600 mAh non-removable battery as well as 15W TurboPower support which is also nothing extraordinary. Now, it remains to be seen how the Moto Z4 does in the US and Canadian markets. Also, there is no clarification as to when Moto Z4 will launch in the Indian markets.
