While we have seen a steady decline from Motorola in recent years due to their underwhelming products as well as other strategies, we are glad to know that they are still committed to producing smartphones for the market. This is because the company has just launched a new phone in the market named as the Moto G8 Power Lite. Now, we do know that the naming is weird for the smartphone and we do hope that the actual device turns out to be better.
Looking at the specifications of Moto G8 Power Lite, it comes with some impressive internals but let’s start with the display first. You get a 6.5-inch display on this smartphone which is an HD+ Max Vision display and this is the most important since you can only see the display on your phone. On the inside, the device is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 processor with 4GB RAM which is decent. Apart from that, the device still runs Android 9 in 2020 while Android 10 was released in August last year.
At this point, launching a smartphone in 2020 with two-year-old Android version is just unacceptable. Moving on, we have a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 2-megapixel macro and 2-megapixel depth cameras and an 8-megapixel front camera on the device.
Talking about the design, you will get a gradient back finish along with plastic build which can look stale but it quite reminiscent to the glass back. You also get a 5000 mAh non-removable battery along with support for 10W fast charging that is not fast enough as per today’s standards.
And the worst part is that the device still has micro USB while even entry-level phones have now switched to USB Type-C. In India, you can get the Moto G8 Power Lite for Rs. 8999 from May 29 on Flipkart.
