OnePlus is finalizing the market with its new flagship-smartphone, OnePlus 6T. After many rumors about what new features will bring the next device, the company itself confirmed one of them: it will have an on-screen fingerprint scanner. However, the company has also revealed the possible date of arrival on the market, which could be around October 17.

On the one hand, OnePlus has confirmed to Cnet that the next device of the company will have the fingerprint reader integrated in the screen, a technology baptized as Screen Lock.

“We unlock our phone many times a day, and Screen Lock reduces the number of steps to complete the action, adding this function to the others available to unlock the phone as with Face Unlock users will have several ways where to choose which way is more efficient to unlock the phone, “said by company spokesman.

As an example, OnePlus has released a screenshot of Oneplus 6T in which the place where the user can place the finger can be seen. However, the date of capture can also be seen on October 17, the date on which it is estimated that the OnePlus 6T can be presented.

This date would come a week after Google introduced its Pixel 3 and just a month after Apple unveiled their iPhone, a statement of intent in the aspirations of the company to gain a foothold in the high-end market.

As usual with the OnePlus T range, the OnePlus 6T is expected to have a continuous design with respect to the previous model, although incorporating some improvements.

From OnePlus 5 to 5T, the terminal improved with a larger screen, more power, and facial recognition. On this occasion, according to rumors, the 6T will also improve the biometric recognition system while it could, according to market rumors, narrow the notch and gain in performance.

And we can expect some more features like latest trend of tear dropped notch display, 6GB Ram, 250GB Memory and high-end camera lens etc. Anyhow, we need to wait for the October 17 launch.
