You must have heard the reports regarding Samsung’s Galaxy Fold. The smartphone was recently sent out by Samsung to reviewers in the US. However, everything did not go according to plan for Samsung. Because just a day after reviewers received the device, there were reports of damage to screens of the Galaxy Fold. Now, some of the units failed because a protective layer was peeled which was supposed to be kept intact. But the other units still had the protective layer then also they were damaged.
This has caused Samsung to investigate more into this matter and understand why the displays on these units failed. Also, Samsung has replaced the Galaxy Fold units which had display issues. But it still must be a concern for the company as the reason is unknown. Therefore, people started to speculate that the Galaxy Fold launch worldwide might get delayed.
Looks like the speculations were right because Samsung has indeed postponed its launch event for Galaxy Fold. Reportedly, Samsung had planned its launch event in Hong Kong and Shangai. The events were supposed to take place on Tuesday and Wednesday later this week. Those events have now been cancelled. Indicating the fact that the launch of Galaxy Fold has been postponed.

Now, we believe that this is the right thing to do for Samsung. Because the company can invite major trouble if the display issues continue for its paying customers. There can be multiple lawsuits and cases against the company for selling damaged or flawed units.
We already know that Samsung has gone through all of this for its Galaxy Note 7 already. This is when the Galaxy Note 7 units started to explode because of battery issues. Samsung literally dumped all those Galaxy Note 7 units in ground so that they do not catch fire. The company surely does not want to report the same with Galaxy Fold now.
