BBK Electronics is gearing their game in each way possible. With OnePlus they got the OnePlus 6, while from Oppo they launched the Find X which is the best piece of craftsmanship and from Vivo there comes with Vivo NEX which features the attractive 92.4 % screen – to – body ratio. As we know about the pop-up selfie and the motorized camera unit pop – up on the Find X. We know they are gearing for the new features to be introduced with the next generation phones.
The 3D facial scanning from Apple is something which is unique to them, now Vivo is planning to be in the race with the 3D TOF Depth Sensing camera which will be just used for Facial Recognition. As per the insiders, they are developing one and it will be launching with an advanced phone in the near future.
With the leaks, it gets confirmed that the camera will be featuring the same 3D light module, where the screen will be unlocked without any issue. Vivo is sure about their success rates and hence they will also bring authentications for payments.
The unit will be as small as possible so there is no requirement of any type of notch which will bring in problems for the screen – to – body ratio numbers. Another important thing highlighted in the leak is about the distance from which you will be able to unlock the phone. As per the leaks, it will be twice or thrice the tradition sensor capabilities. This will surely make it a better 3D depth sensor then we find on the iPhone X.
As per the representational image, it is clear that we can place all the different sensors and camera under the display which will be a better option. Sensors such as proximity sensor and an infrared sensor can also be found on the top portion which means they will surely be working with the TOF Depth camera to recognize the face.
As per the tipster, the phone we are talking about with the 3D facial recognition will be launched in 2018 Mobile World Congress which will be held in Shanghai from June 27 to June 29. The smartphone might just be introduced while the actual public launch will be in the Q4 2018.
