Xiaomi Mi Band lineup is one of the most used wearables out there. It has just been three years since Xiaomi started producing the Mi Band lineup. But the response to this lineup has been tremendous. We saw the release of Mi Band 3 last year which was a smash hit in China first and then India. Also, it has done well in other markets too. Now, the company is all set to launch the sequel to Mi Band 3. This will be called the Mi Band 4. And from the looks of it, Mi Band 4 is going to have some major changes and some firsts for the Mi Band lineup.
With the Mi Band 3 last year, we saw an AMOLED display on Mi Band watch for the first time. This was also a sort-of curved display as it had a 2.5D glass. Now, Xiaomi is going one better with the Mi Band 4’s display. Xiaomi will include a coloured display on Mi Band 4 for the first time ever. Previously, Mi Band 3 and previous versions came with monochrome displays only.

Also, it has been seemingly confirmed by the leaked image of Mi Band 4 that we have received just now. As you can see from the image above, the display on the Mi Band 4 is definitely a coloured one. This will be a major change from Mi Band 3’s display. Apart from that, there is no obvious design change but its also a good thing as Mi Band 3’s design was already good.
On the other hand, a report claims that we will no longer have to remove the Mi Band from its band for charging. With the Mi Band 4, we will be able to directly charge the Mi Band with its band. Apart from that, the battery will also be increased. We are hearing that Mi Band 4 will have a 135mAh cell rather than a 110mAh one on Band 3.
