Meizu Pro 6 is released in April, 2016. In this month alone, Meizu released 4 smartphones and working restless in their next releases too. There is also a fan base growing worldwide for Meizu next to the Chinese brands like Xiaomi and Lenovo. After Meizu MX5e, Meizu M3 and Meizu M3 Note, Meizu Pro 6 is the fourth in the line to be launched.

The highlight of this device is its most advanced processor chip of present time Helio X25 which is a Deca-core processor. Have a look at the specs and other details below.

The screen size is 5.2 inches and having a screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels of full HD resolution. It brings the screen density of 424 pixels per inch. This density is top tier and gives a stunning clarity to the display. Super AMOLED type display is used. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Another specialty is the 3D touch feature of this display.


The CPU is configured with the MediaTek Helio X25 processor which has deca-cores (10 cores). It has 1 dual-core of Cortex A72 type with maximum clock speed of 2.5GHz and 2 Quad-cores of Cortex A53 type with clock speed of 2GHz and 1.4GHz respectively. The Graphical processor is Mali T-880MP4, known for powerful performance.

RAM and Storage

There is a massive 4GB of RAM and two options in inbuilt storage with 32 GB or 64 GB. There is no SD card slot to add extra storage to the device. So, the buyers have to decide the storage variant based on their usage.


Meizu using their own User Interface, Flyme OS over the Android platform. The latest Flyme 5.6 OS based on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow is pre-loaded in Meizu Pro 6 smartphone. Flyme has good reviews with their User Interface.


The primary camera of Meizu Pro 6 has a lot of features. It is a 21 MP camera with ten LED and dual tone flash. It has Touch focus Laser autofocus, phase detection, face detection, HDR and panorama. Unlike the primary rear camera, the front camera is simple with 5 MP sensors.


Meizu Pro 6 is powered by a 2560mAh battery which is average for the hardware this phone carries. A 3000mAh battery could be a better option. There is a special fast-charging feature which claims 26% of battery charge in 10 minutes and 100% in just 60 minutes.

Other Features and Connectivity

Fingerprint sensor, WiFi, Bluetooth, 4G LTE, EVDO, GPS, NFC, USB type C, HiFi audio quality and dual SIM are the most needed and important features we have found in Meizu Pro 6.


The price of 32 GB version of Meizu Pro 6 is Chinese Yuan 2500 / US $385. The 64 GB version priced at Chinese Yuan 2700 / US $430.

Except the battery, entire device configuration and specs is awesome. We can expect multitasking, long time browsing and gaming to be go flawless on the day to day usage.

Opinion to Buyers –  Meizu Pro 6

This device specs shows this is a high-end device. The entire specs comes under the Pros, except the battery. The price also looks very reasonable and competitive in the market. But, the main concern is battery of this device. So, our opinion is to wait until a clear expert opinion on the battery backup before you buy.
