Barbarians are the war-ready troops in Clash of Clans with an angry face and a stunning moustache. Barbarians are the first ever unlocked troops in the Barracks. They hold a sword that will increase its power as the levels increases. There are no preferred targets for them, but they will destroy anything they see on the way to the success. They are not that much capable of destroying high hit point buildings and they have a very less hit point their selfs. So, enemy weapons like Mortars and Canons can easily destroy a large number of barbarians from a single shot. But, it you’ve used them carefully and wisely, they will be an asset for you.
As they are the basic troops in the clash of clans, they use a very less time to be ready for the battle and only eat a less amount of elixir that varies according to the level. Once there are any troops in the enemy village, the Barbarians will leave the current target (Buildings) and attack the enemies until they are destroyed. But, they need to be closer as they could meet the enemy troops. A large wave of Barbarians deployed behind the high hitpoint troops like Giants are very dangerous to the enemy villages. the Archers and Wizards support them by looking after the enemy weapons.
The Barbarians have very low hit point that makes it very difficult to attack an enemy village only using Barbarians. We wrote and article on How to Use Barbarians Effectively in Clash of Clans? Read it to better understand, where, when, and how to deploy barbarians to gain the best results out of them. They are very good at taking down lonely buildings where there are no defending weapons to destroy them. Once you’ve got some abandoned buildings and the time is very low to end the battle, if you have some Barbarians in hand, it is the right time to use them effectively. They are very good at destroying lonely buildings very fast.
Like that, if you’ve got only a remaining Mortar in your enemy village and you have some barbarians, deploying them near the Mortar will completely destroy the mortar as it can’t fire to the enemies in less than 4 tiles around it. As any other troops in clash of clans, Barbarians can also be upgraded to various levels. As you are upgrading the barbarians, they Destruction ability and the Hitpoint will increase alongside the changes in their Appearance.
