Sometimes we just need a screenshot. A screenshot is nothing but capturing of the screen at a present state. Reasons for taking screenshots is many, people just want to take a screenshot for remembering a thing on the screen or saving a sudden moment which is happened on screen. It is just like a print screen option on Windows machines.
When it comes to taking a screenshot on iOS devices, it is a very simple process. We were given a detailed guide of “how to take a screenshot on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch” given below. On iPhone X or Later Devices
- Press and hold the side button on the right side of your iPhone.
- Now immediately click on the volume up button the left side.
- Now, release both the buttons. ( Step 1 & 2 must be done in less than 2 seconds)
- After a successful attempt, a thumbnail of the taken screenshot appears in the lower-left corner of the device along with capturing shutter sound.
On iPhone 8 or earlier, iPad, and iPod touch
This method involves similar steps like above with a slight difference.
- Press and hold the side button.
- Now immediately click on the home button and release both the buttons.
- After a successful attempt, a thumbnail of the taken screenshot appears in the lower-left corner of the device along with capturing shutter sound.
Alternative methods to Take a Screenshot on iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch
In this method, we are using AssistiveTouch option which is available in Accessibility.
- Launch Settings app of the iPhone.
- Navigate to General > Accessibility > “AssistiveTouch”.
- There, turn ON the “AssistiveTouch” option. Now, you will see a new virtual button is created on the screen.
- Now tap on the button.
- Then, navigate to Device > More > Screen Shot.
That’s it. These are the traditional methods for taking a screenshot on Apple devices. There are some third-party apps available to do this job. However, we feel the traditional method is much easier than the app screenshot taking process.
