1. Renaming file format

2. SFC Scan

- Now type sfc/scannow and hit enter to execute the command.

3. Try different programs to open files
During the system crash, either file may be corrupted or the program is unable to open the default file type. For example, a Word document can be opened by many Office suite programs. If a document file is corrupted and not opening by the MS Office, then use an alternate program like Libre Office or Apache Open Office to open the file.
If a video file is corrupted, then try to open it by programs like Pot Player or VLC Media player to play the file. These programs support a vast number of codecs which are not available in the Windows Media Player by default.
