W9 Watchband Android Smartwatch - Review

Too many Android smartwatches have been forgettably basic in their design and offer some basic features like Notifications and motion tracking. But W9 is totally different it is a SIM-based Android watch for advanced wearable lovers.

The W9 Watchband Android Smartwatch is one of a new breed of SIM-based wearable combining the simplicity of a smartphone features in a watch style. That’s why I’m excited about W9 Watchband Android Smartwatch. The $164.07 Android watch has a slim design complemented by a nice brown leather strap. (Also available in Black)

W9 Watchband Design & Specifications

Let’s start with the Watch’s hardware, at the center of the square face is a 1.54-inch color touchscreen with 240 x 204-pixel resolution. The screen is bright and vibrant with great viewing angles. It’s easily visible outdoors, which is not a simple task for a smart watches with small screens. Coming to the CPU it boats with MTK6572 with 1GB RAM, on the camera side it has a decent 5 Megapixel count.

In a first glans you notice it look the Apple watch, the whole ethos of the W9 is a blend of style with features, it is a watch totally meant for wearable lovers. The W9 is light and comfortable to wear for extended periods, and it’s not as big or bulky as its other competitors. Depending on your personal style and taste, you’re either go with Champagne or Black color.

Performance

A smartwatch needs to do a number of things to satisfy your needs, some simple features like quick access to notifications, call features, camera access, contacts and SMS access are important. Thanks to Android OS, it perfectly serves above discuss and some other things. Signal quality is good and no dropped calls and hit network in places with poor reception, are great things to have.

Battery life is at the top end of what to expect from Android, the built-in 600mAh battery has power enough to run two continuous days. It looks good, performs well, it perfectly encapsulates how new wearable technology can be.
