Root Android KitKat Powered Devices Easily With Towelroot – No PC Required

Root Android KitKat Powered Devices Easily With Towelroot-No PC Required

For Android, rooting is an important process to unlock the full potentiality of the device. But the rooting process is different from device to device and involves a lot of patience, tools and a PC.

Popular developer geohot released a new tool called Towelroot which can easily root many Android devices in a simple way. And most importantly this rooting doesn’t require a PC.

Do this at your own risk. We will not be responsible for any problems occurred by rooting. It is also not recommended to root your Android devices except you have a special case and rooting is necessary (for example, to start recording your Android screen.)

Towelroot

Towelroot works on phones running Android KitKat and mostly on Samsung devices. Unfortunately, it won’t work with HTC and Motorola phones. Installing is very easy, just go to Settings > Security and enable installing apps from unknown sources. Then go to Towelroot.com, click on lambda icon and install the APK, and run it. It will take some time to process and reboots the device after completion.

According to the sources, Towelroot successfully worked on Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Google Nexus 5 and Google Nexus 7. Unfortunately, it won’t install SuperSU to ask your permissions when an app requires root access. It automatically gives permissions to the app, it is a major security loophole for the device. To simply avoid this issue, install Chainfire’s SuperSU. It will prevent the phone from giving permission to the apps automatically.

To confirm the root status of your device download the Root Checker app and check. Also, after successfully rooting your Android KitKat device, you can have a look at our list of the best apps for rooted Android phones. It will give you a better access to the device and more control over the device than it used to be.
