How to Enable Developer Settings in Android 4.2

Google has hidden the developer option in the Android 4.2 version. Without the developer window, we can’t get into the USB debugging mode. We created a simple guide to get those hidden developer options and thus enable the debugging mode. Follow the steps below to do that:

1. First, Go to the Settings of your device.

2. Choose About phone.

3. Find the “Build number.” on the bottom.

4. Now store yourself some energy to Tap “Build number” 7 times. Right after the third tap, you will see a dialogue box that says you are only four taps away from being a developer. Never take rest, Continue tapping 4 more times.

Now, the Developer options under Settings are back! Now you easily can enable USB debugging mode from the developer tab.

Here are the complete steps enable USB debugging on smartphones which are running on Android 4.0 or later.

1. Reach the Settings.

2. Scroll down and tap “Developer options”.

3. Check “USB debugging” from there.
