How To Fix App Has Been Blocked Due To Company Policy In Microsoft Store In Windows 10

Sometimes while downloading an application from Microsoft store, you may encounter a message “App Has Been Blocked Due To Company Policy In Microsoft Store In Windows 10” error message. It is due to some unexpected error caused by Microsoft store.

Method 1: Re-register Microsoft Store

It is one of the best working methods to fix the company policy error in Microsoft store.

  1. Open run box by clicking Windows+R on your keyboard.

  2. Type “Powershell” and then press Ctrl+Shift+Enter together.

  3. Here, copy and paste this command in PowerShell window and then hit enter to execute it on your computer.

  4. Now, reboot your computer to save the changes in your system.

After rebooting, now try to download your desired app from the Microsoft store. If the above method not working, proceed to the next method.

Method 2: Rename cache folder

  1. Click on the Windows Start menu and search “%appdata%“
  2. Now, click on “%appdata%” in the search result.

  3. In the Windows address bar, click on “AppData“.

  4. Now, open the “Local” folder.

  5. Double click on the “Packages” folder.

  6. Inside the Packages folder, scroll down and double click on the “Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe” folder.

  7. Now, double click on the “LocalState” folder.

  8. Right-click on the “Cache” folder and rename it as cache.old.

  9. Now create a new folder by right-clicking on the empty space and then click on “New” and then click on “Folder“.
  10. Name this folder as “Cache“.
  11. If you don’t see any ‘cache‘ folder, right-click in the blank space, and then click on “New” and then click on “Folder” to create a new folder and name it as cache.
  12. Now, close the File Explorer and reboot the computer to effect the changes.
