We know that everyone uses emails extensively for work and business as well as personal reasons too. Now, when we talk about emails then we instantly have Gmail in our head. This is because there are other email providers too but Gmail is by far miles ahead than the rest. Talking about Gmail, the service provider from Google is working on various updates in order to give a better experience for its users. And one of those updates was to refresh the Gmail interface and make it look modern with material design.
Now, a new feature has also been added to Gmail which is a functional change and not a cosmetic one. Basically, you would have seen that people forward emails when they want to convey their message or just let people know that they received the mail. However, we know that the forwarded messages can go into a long chain and we keep on scrolling to find out the message and its response. This is not what Gmail wants people to do and so it has brought forward a new feature which is the ability to send emails as attachments.
This means that you will not have to download your emails or even forward them but just send them as attachments to someone and they can read the email. While you might not need this feature, it is something that big media houses need when they are sending emails to multiple people at a time. If you want Google’s clarification on why someone would need this feature, here you go:
We’ve heard from you that there are situations where attaching emails makes more sense than forwarding separate emails, like wanting to forward multiple messages related to a single topic. With this new functionality, you can do exactly that. Sending emails as attachments allows you to write a summary email message to your recipients, and attach the set of supporting emails that recipients can directly open in their mail client.
