We have seen mistakes made by companies and many of them have to pay a heavy price for it as well. The same mistake has been made by Google many times and we have to wonder why the company keeps on making such mistakes with its Pixel devices.
We have never seen such a costly mistake by Apple being made or other hardware companies for that matter. So it is definitely a matter of concern that Google makes such mistakes. Talking about the incident, we have reports coming in that Google messed up big time regarding an order from a normal customer
According to the customer who revealed this mixup from Google he had ordered a Pixel 4 smartphone from Google during the current $500 sale which is going on. While we can say that it is a price cut from Google, it is also true that the price cut seems to be permanent.
Moving on, the customer ordered their piece of Google Pixel 4 for $500 seeing the reduced price. But he was surprised when the package arrived since there were not 1 but 10 Pixel 4 devices in the box.
He was surprised because he had ordered one and $500 were deducted from his account but Google sent him 10 which were worth $5000 at that price and normally $8000-$10000.
This customer, like many others, thought that he would keep those phones with him and he was also entitled to do so since the company sent him those phones and there was no stealing or fraud involved it and the US laws also permit him.
But his wife told him that you have to be honest and recommended him to return the phones. So he did the same and returned the phones and Google’s costly mistake did not cost them so dearly. Later, Google took the 9 extra phones after some back and forth and the customer was happy that they did the right thing.
