Honor has just unveiled its full flagship lineup of Honor 20 devices in India. This lineup includes the Honor 20 Pro, Honor 20 and the affordable mid-range offering, Honor 20i. Talking about the Honor 20 series, this lineup of devices have already been launched in the global markets. And now, they are available in the Indian markets too.
However, the interesting part about Honor 20 series launch is Huawei’s silence on the whole US-China trade war issue. As a part of this issue, Huawei has been banned from operating in the US. This means that Android support for Huawei devices will also be cut as Google is operating from the US and Huawei is blacklisted in the country.
Anyways, as you would expect, Honor 20 Pro is the top-of-the-line flagship device in this series. The Honor 20 comes next which is still a flagship device but is less powerful than the Honor 20 Pro. Also, Honor is offering a budget mid-range device in the name of Honor 20i in India. Elsewhere, Honor 20i is called as the Honor 20 Lite.
On the Honor 20 and 20 Pro, you get side-mounted fingerprint sensors rather than in-display ones. You also have a 6.26-inch display along with punch-hole selfie camera and quad rear camera setup along with Android 9.0 Pie based on MagicUI 2.1. Powering the device is a HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC which is currently the flagship chip from Huawei’s own silicon manufacturer. For the Honor 20i, Huawei has decided to get with HiSilicon 710 processor and it also runs on Android 9.0 Pie with EMUI 9.0. On this device, you get a waterdrop notch and triple cameras at the back.
As far as availability and pricing are concerned, Honor 20i starts in India at just Rs. 14,999 whereas Honor 20 and 20 Pro are priced at Rs. 32,999 and Rs. 39,999 respectively. Honor 20i will be available in India from June 18 whereas Honor 20 will start selling from June 25. Honor 20 Pro is scheduled for sale “very soon” but no dates have been announced.
