For The Second Time, Logitech Has Been Celebrating “Work From Home Week” 2018

Logitech Celebrates "Work from Home Week" 2018

The company Logitech for the second consecutive year participating in the US National Work from Home Wee to (#WFHWeek). Logitech recognizes October 10 as Global WFH Day and encourages employees across the globe to work from home this day.

Work From Home can be very beneficial for the employer, employees and the entire planet. A Global Workplace Analytics survey shows that home-based work can lead to increased productivity, employee morale, fewer talent fluctuations, and so on. In today’s interconnected world, Logitech sees no reason to prevent members of their team from working virtually anywhere.

Logitech Celebrates Work from Home Week

From the announcement of Sumanta Datta, Managing Director, and Cluster Head, India, Indonesia, and South West Asia at Logitech, said, “Our task-force of people in India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nepal & Bangladesh will be encouraged to work from home for the entire week. We believe #WFHWeek will not only add to the average productivity of the employees but also lower load on public infrastructure, thereby reducing emissions and creating carbon savings. We are also reaching out to all our partners to join us in this initiative to make a difference to our people and our planet.”

In 2017, #WFHWeek participants contributed more than 60,000 kilos of CO 2 production during their work from home. This is equivalent to nearly 240,000 km of regular car driving, which is approximately six times the Earth’s circumference. Additionally, Logitech employees saved their daily average of 90 minutes by not having to go to work. Thanks to video conferencing and other teamwork tools, however, everything worked throughout the week as well as ever.

Logitech is once again calling on partner companies to create the conditions for participating in a Week of Homework action for anyone who wants to try it out. For the time being, Barco, Upwork, and Zoom have joined us. Businesses interested in helping Logitech support this action can complete this form. A list of tips for starting or improving work from home can be found at this address.
