When you first launch Root Explorer, it’s asking for root access. It can go through the every file root of your file system. The interface is normal no funky or flashy icons or graphics are available. It works perfectly with basic and simple looking icons. When you press on any file it opens the complete menu. You can easily zip or tar the folder right from the root explorer, which is very useful for backing up data.

It offers features include SQLite database viewer, Text Editor, create and extract zip or tar/gzip files, extract RAR archives, multi-select, execute scripts, search, remount, permissions, bookmarks, send files (via email, Bluetooth etc), image thumbnails, APK binary XML viewer, change file owner/group, create symbolic link, “Open With” facility, MD5, create shortcuts. If you explore the app you can see a ton of features in it undoubtedly.

As it mentioned the Root in the name, the app goes to every nuke and corner of the mobile or Tablet and lets you browse its contents, If you are looking for a worthy Android File Browser, Root Explorer is your perfect choice.

Overall it is a good file management app for Android, the app works well on both smartphones and tablets. The app is available in both free and paid versions.
